DESIGNERS HAVE EYE ON THE PRIZE

YOUNG designers proved their mettle when they competed against pupils from across the county in a contest for young designers.

The Rotary Club of Northwich sponsored students from Weaverham High School and Rudheath High School in the district final of the Rotary Young Designer competition. The contest saw Year 11 students from seven high schools competing at Parrs Wood High School. William Clarke, from Weaverham High School, won the electronics category for his clever coded security system and Rebecca Glaze was placed second in the resistant material category for her beautifully finished wooden toy cooker.
